Tuition Assistance

We have a separate application for Tuition Assistance and it is due February 3, 2017. We want to offer you guidance to make the process as painless as possible for you, so we ask that you contact us for the application and additional information.

Admissions Process

We want to make the admissions process as easy as possible. We encourage you to call us so we can personalize our connection by arranging a tour, reminding you of deadlines, and letting you know about our Parent Open Houses. We want to answer your questions and hear about your child.

  1. Schedule a Tour (Required)

  2. Submit Application Material (Required)

  3. Schedule a Parent Admission Meeting (Required)

Parent Admission Meetings are no longer than 30 minutes. Once an application has been submitted, parents are able to schedule their Parent Admission Meeting online or by contacting us directly. We prefer both parents attend the Meeting, but we understand that circumstances might make that difficult and we do not want the process to be burdensome; we have some flexibility. We do ask that only one Meeting is scheduled for each family. Here are three ways to schedule your Meeting:

  4. Attend a Parent Open House (Optional, though strongly recommended)

Parents hear presentations from teachers about their classroom management, activities and curriculum. Parents will also have opportunities to talk with the teachers. This program provides considerable insight into Perkins and a lot of information is presented. The event is not suitable for children, and childcare is not provided.

      December 10, 2016: 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. (Program begins promptly at 10:15.)
      January 21, 2017: 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. (Program begins promptly at 10:15.)

  5. Applicant Visits Perkins

Students applying for kindergarten will be invited to attend one of two or three sessions at The Perkins School, joined by many other applicants. Our teachers will engage the children in a variety of activities for about 90 minutes. Parents are invited to visit one of our local coffee shops (one located a block south; the other a block north) during their child’s session, or they are welcome to stay at Perkins and visit with each other. We will also have several parents of currently enrolled students on site with whom parents can chat and ask questions.

      Kindergarten applicants:
Sessions are Saturday morning, March 4, 2017
We will notify applicants of their scheduled session time in early February, 2017

      1st through 5th Grade applicants:
Students will be scheduled to visit Perkins individually

The Perkins School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin and any other legally protected status to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin and any other legally provided status in administration of educational policies, financial aid or other school administered programs.
