Tuition Policy

A high-quality, independent school education is expensive. We certainly understand the financial impact on your family.  But Perkins is determined to keep our tuition as affordable as possible.  A central facet of our mission is serving a multiplicity of families. A more affordable tuition, along with tuition options allows greater diversity, and strength, within our community.

Tuition Options – Tell Us Your Story

“Can we afford it?”

“Can I just get a quick idea of whether we might qualify for assistance?”

If you have questions, we want to talk to you! Our goal is to make our admissions process as inclusive and straightforward as possible. Give us a call or send us an email to start a conversation about the range of families we serve, facets of family finances the school considers, and other options. We know your family’s story is more than just about numbers.

  • 15% of our budget is available for a variety of financial assistance programs.

  • Reduced childcare costs as part of a financial assistance package is also available.

  • Please contact us to discuss what forms you need to complete (due February 1, 2024). Call Angie at 206-526-8217 or email at angie@theperkinsschool.org

Extended Day

After school childcare is available until 6:00 p.m. with a discounted fee for children attending every day. We offer morning childcare beginning at 7:30 a.m. on a limited basis.

Classroom Fees

To not burden parents with the common school practice of charging fees for every field trip, emergency preparedness items, and classroom supplies, we streamline with an annual “classroom fee” that covers field trips and supplies.

  • $350 Kindergarten and 1st grades for the 2023-2024 school year

  • $450 2nd through 5th grades for the 2023-2024 school year

  • Fees for 2024-2025 will be determined in December 2023
